US Treasury sued for providing sensitive information to Elon Musk's DOGE
On February 3, the largest labor union organization in the United States, the American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations (AFL-CIO), filed a lawsuit against the US Treasury Department and Secretary Scott Bezent, demanding that they stop their so-called "illegal, continuous, systematic, and continuous disclosure of personal and financial information" to Musk and DOGE. The AFL-CIO stated: "The scale of the infringement of personal privacy is huge and unprecedented. People who are required to share information with the federal government should not be forced to share information with Elon Musk or his 'DOGE'."
