Sony's Layer-2 blockchain "Soneium" goes live
According to CoinDesk, Sony has announced the launch of its Layer-2 blockchain platform "Soneium". The platform was developed in collaboration with Singapore's Startale Labs and is based on Ethereum's Optimism OP Stack technology. It aims to support a diverse application ecosystem including gaming, finance, and entertainment.
After four months of testing, "Soneium" attracted 14 million wallet participants. It is dedicated to connecting Web2 and Web3 users, providing creators and communities with a more convenient blockchain interaction experience.
