Coinbase Ventures: Optimistic about the future, expects investment growth in 2024
The total investment in cryptocurrency in 2023 has decreased significantly by 68% to $10.6 billion, a 60% decrease compared to the total investment of $33.2 billion recorded in 2022, marking the lowest point since 2020. Coinbase Ventures stated that they expect our activities to grow in 2024, and Coinbase Ventures will continue to invest in accelerating the introduction of one billion future users to the chain, including areas such as cryptographic infrastructure, consumer applications such as social and gaming, and also sees opportunities in the intersection of artificial intelligence and cryptocurrency. The company will also seek to expand support for Base team building through the Base Ecosystem Fund. Yat Siu, co-founder and CEO of Animoca Brands based in Hong Kong, said that the company is very optimistic about 2024, and expects the cryptocurrency financing environment to be healthier in 2024.
