U.S. authorities have seized $31 million in cryptocurrency related to the 2021 Uranium Finance hacker
The Southern District of New York (SDNY) announced on platform X that authorities have seized approximately $31 million in cryptocurrency related to the 2021 Uranium Finance hacking incident. This operation was jointly carried out by SDNY and Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) in San Diego.
Uranium Finance is a Uniswap Fork project deployed on the BNB chain, which lost $50 million due to contract vulnerabilities in April 2021. The hacker attempted to launder money through tools like Tornado Cash. (CoinDesk)
