About Pocket Network
Pocket Network (POKT), is a web3 infrastructure middleware protocol that provides hundreds of millions of daily (tens of billions of total relays since mainnet launch in July 2020) RPC requests across a decentralized network of 37K+ full nodes that are routing requests across ~40 blockchains, including Ethereum, Harmony, Solana, Avalanche, BSC, Gnosis Chain, Polygon, and more. Pocket Network uses a native cryptocurrency, ($POKT), to create a permissionless, two-sided market between node providers who run full nodes and developers that want to query data from a blockchain for their dApps. The network is designed to maximize the efficiency of web3 dApps by tackling quality, zero downtime, censorship resistance, and cost-efficiency. POKT is purchased and staked by both dApp developers and node providers to participate in the network. The best analogy is a decentralized version of Infura/Alchemy – but instead of requesting data from a centralized consensus node running on AWS, RPC requests are routed across a globally distributed decentralized network of full nodes that provide antifragile infrastructure for the web3 ecosystem.
