US initial jobless claims rise to highest level since June
ChainCatcher news, according to Golden Ten Data, the number of initial jobless claims in the United States has risen to the highest level since June. Data shows that for the week ending August 30, initial jobless claims increased by 8,000 to 237,000, while the median forecast from institutional surveys was 230,000. The number of continuing jobless claims remained basically unchanged at 1,940,000.
