According to the Interfax news agency, Russian President Putin confirmed during a meeting with U.S. envoy Viterkov that Russia is ready to negotiate with Ukraine without preconditions. Russian Presidential Assistant Ushakov revealed that the meeting between Russian President Putin and U.S. Middle East Envoy Wittekov lasted three hours and was constructive. He stated that the meeting discussed the possibility of resuming direct negotiations between Russia and Ukraine.
