$7.2B Bitcoin Options and $801M Ethereum Options Expire Tomorrow

Bitcoin and Ethereum Options Expiry on Deribit
In a post on X, Deribit revealed that more than $8 billion in Bitcoin and Ethereum options are set to expire tomorrow morning at 08:00 (UTC).
$7.2 billion in BTC options will expire with a Put/Call Ratio of 0.73 and a Max Pain Point of $85,000.
Also, $801 million in ETH options will expire with a Put/Call Ratio of 0.73, and a Max Pain Point of $1,900.
Deribit also highlighted that Bitcoin is currently trading above its Max Pain Point, while Ethereum trades below.

At the moment of writing this article, BTC is trading above $92,000, down by over 1% in the past 24 hours.
BTC price in USD todayEarlier, BTC price dropped from levels above $93,000 to around $91,700, before a rebound to current price levels. The digital asset recorded a significant price rebound in the past week, surging from $84,000 levels on April 20 to a top above $94,000 on April 23.
Yesterday, BTC managed to surpass Amazon, silver, and Google, and reached the fifth spot in the list of top assets by market cap in the world, pushed higher by multiple factors, including renewed interest in BTC ETFs.
Apart from BTC, ETH also recorded price volatility today.
ETH Price Trajectory
At the moment of writing this article, ETH is trading above $1,740, down by over 2.7% in the past 24 hours. Earlier, ETH’s price dropped from over $1,800 to $1,728 before rebounding to current levels.
ETH price in USD todayUnlike BTC ETFs, ETH ETFs recorded outflows on April 23 of almost $24 million.
The crypto industry maintains optimism ahead of tomorrow’s new SEC Chair, Paul Atkins’ speech, set to take place at the SEC crypto roundtable. Atkins was sworn into office as the 34th Chairman of the SEC on April 23.
