Scott Melker, a cryptocurrency trader and investor known as "The Wolf of All Streets," said that he found out someone was impersonating him and using his face and name for fraud, with at least one victim being scammed out of $4 million. On April 23, the cryptocurrency investor said, "I feel very angry." He revealed that a private investigator contacted him, informing him that one of his clients had been scammed out of $4 million by a Nigerian fraud gang using his name and face as bait.

"They obviously scammed a lot of people," Melker said, adding, "They even sent him a fake driver's license to prove it was me." They also used his avatar on the X platform as a photo.

The scammers used artificial intelligence to generate this fake ID and used a very realistic fake email account. "They even had video calls via Zoom, using artificial intelligence to disguise their identity," Melker said, "These methods are obviously quite sophisticated." He also mentioned that the scammers even forged accounts for his wife and children to further confirm his identity.
