Bitwise Asset Management has expanded its reach into the European market by launching four new cryptocurrency Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) on the London Stock Exchange (LSE).
This move provides increased accessibility for European investors seeking exposure to the digital asset market through regulated investment vehicles.
These new ETs include the Bitwise Bitcoin ETF (BBTC), which offers direct exposure to Bitcoin; the Bitwise Ethereum ETF (BETH), which provides exposure to Ethereum; the Bitwise Bitcoin and Ethereum Market Cap Weight ETF (BTET) which allocates investments to Bitcoin and Ethereum based on their market capitalizations; and the Bitwise Crypto Innovators ETF (BTCR) which focuses on companies operating in the crypto industry.
These ETFs offer a secure and familiar framework for traditional investors looking to enter the crypto market and meet the growing demand for such investments among European investors. Bitwise aims to attract a broader range of investors, including institutional and retail, by listing on the LSE.
The launch comes amid increasing regulatory clarity in Europe regarding digital assets, spurred by the EU’s Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) regulation, which is set to standardize the regulatory landscape for crypto assets across member states. This regulatory environment fosters greater confidence among investors and facilitates more crypto-related financial products’ entry into the market.
“We are excited to bring these innovative crypto ETFs to the London Stock Exchange,”
said Hunter Horsley, CEO of Bitwise.
“Europe represents a significant opportunity for crypto adoption, and we believe our ETFs provide a convenient and regulated way for investors to participate in this rapidly evolving asset class.”
Bitwise is expanding into the European market, highlighting the increasing global interest in cryptocurrency as an investment. The firm aims to utilize its experience managing crypto ETFs in the U.S. to serve European clients. Notably, major exchanges like OKX, Crypto.com, and Bitpanda have successfully acquired MiCA licenses following the full implementation of MiCA in December 2025.
