In further detail, the gameplay is a replica of the Monopoly Go! Game, where players can earn in-game cash to erect new buildings in the digital city.
The new Donald Trump Crypto Monopoly game is likely to see the light of day as soon as this month, people familiar with the matter reveal. Donald Trump’s Crypto Ties Deepen
As the story unfolds, Donald Trump hasn’t been a stranger to the crypto community, labelling himself “The Crypto President” during his run-up to the second term at the Oval Office. A host of conflict-of-interest claims follows Trump family’s World Liberty Financial project, as well as the newly-launched Bitcoin mining venture. Eric Trump, the current CEO of the BTC mining branch, insisted that “it’s something our family speaks about with our heart and soul”, when asked about crypto.
While attempting to become a key player in the Bitcoin (BTC) mining field, the Trump family acquired Hut 8. Presently, The Trump family’s new crypto venture is solidified with expertise from people like Bill Zanker, who has previously worked for the smash-hit Web3 game Axie Infinity.
On The Flipside
- A spokesperson for Bill Zanker refuted claims that the blockchain-powered game is identical to Monopoly Go!, calling the similarities “hearsay”.
- However, Hasbro, the rights owner to the Monopoly board game, claimed Mr. Zanker reached out to them in May, 2024 to renew rights.
- Tempted to buy out the license for the 1989 released Trump: The Game, Donald Trump’s affiliate couldn’t get it because of expiration.
Why This Matters
The Web3 gaming field turned into a niche over the past few years, with no mainstream games being blockchain-based. An accessible and easy to play mobile crypto game would showcase the blockchain’s capabilities to a brand new audience.
