Software Intelligence Firm Strategy Maintains $7.8 Billion Profit on Bitcoin Holdings Despite Recent Price Drop
Despite the recent drop in Bitcoin prices to $80,000, software intelligence firm Strategy still holds $7.8 billion in profit on its Bitcoin investments. The company purchased 499,096 BTC at an average of $66,423 per token, spending a total of $33.1 billion. Despite the market correction, Strategy's holdings are now valued at $41.2 billion, representing a 24% unrealized gain. While Strategy remains profitable, other companies like Semler Scientific and Metaplanet are experiencing losses on their Bitcoin investments. Semler Scientific is down by 6.25% on its purchases, while Metaplanet is slightly down by nearly 1% on its Bitcoin holdings.
