"What began as a business agreement between partners has now escalated into a criminal case," Yescoin wrote in a Friday social media post. "As members of the web3 community, we deeply regret this incident, which undermines consensus and peace. We are saddened by the disruption caused by this event."
It added, "We would like to assure everyone that Yescoin continues to operate normally."
Yescoin is a "swipe to earn" game built on The Open Network ( TON ), a blockchain ecosystem associated with Telegram's messaging platform. To play Yescoin, users swipe their finger across their screen to collect tokens and bonuses, and can complete additional tasks to earn more rewards. Players can then escalate throughout different league tiers, with each league giving users access to more valuable coins.
The Block previously reported that in August 2024, the Yescoin team said it was planning to launch a token at a time when its game had 30 million users.
The Block reached out to Yescoin for comment.
