Institutional-Grade Crypto Custody Service to Launch in Turkey
Turkish digital investment bank BankPozitif announced the upcoming launch of a custodial crypto service for institutional clients. The solution will support BTC, ETH, USDT, XRP, and SOL.

As part of a strategic partnership with Swiss FinTech company Taurus, which specializes in digital asset infrastructure, BankPozitif will offer regulated cryptocurrency custody services to institutional clients.
To implement the project, BankPozitif will integrate Taurus-PROTECT for custodial storage and Taurus-EXPLORER for digital asset management. The use of Taurus’ FinTech solutions will ensure a high level of security for the new service. Additionally, licenses granted by Turkey’s Capital Markets Board (CMB) to BankPozitif and its subsidiary PozitifKripto will allow the service to comply with local regulations. The launch is scheduled for June 2025.
According to Dr. Erkan Kork, Chair of BankPozitif, the project targets Turkey’s rapidly growing digital asset market, where over 26 million people use cryptocurrencies. Kork also noted that Turkey’s banking sector reached 30 trillion Turkish liras (~$820 billion), and the partnership with Taurus will allow BankPozitif to meet the increasing institutional demand for digital asset custody services.
Bashir Kazour, Managing Director at Taurus, emphasized that Turkey’s digital asset market is one of the fastest-growing, and Taurus is ready to support FinTech innovation in the region by opening an office in Istanbul.
Between July 2023 and June 2024, cryptocurrency users in Turkey processed transactions totaling $137 billion. For insights into why digital assets are gaining popularity in the country, read CP Media’s article .
