Cronos faces significant community opposition, with a 95.7% disapproval rate, regarding the reissue of 70 billion tokens that were destroyed
The governance voting page on Mintscan shows that Cronos' proposal to reissue 70 billion destroyed tokens has been heavily opposed by the community, with an opposition rate of 95.7%.
Yesterday's news reported that the public chain project Cronos stated that 70 billion CROs were destroyed in 2021 and now proposes to reissue an equivalent number of tokens on Cronos POS, depositing them into the Cronos strategic reserve custody wallet, restoring the total supply to its original 100 billion in support of "Cronos Strategic Reserve".
The CROs within the strategic reserve custody wallet will be unlocked over a period extended by another five years beyond the initial five-year unlocking period, making a total unlocking period of ten years, with linear monthly releases.
