India raids over 60 locations in Gainbitcoin scam, seizes $2.75 million in crypto
According to News.bitcoin, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) of India announced this week that in a nationwide raid against the Gainbitcoin scam, it has seized cryptocurrency and other key evidence worth 239.4 crore Indian Rupees (approximately 2.75 million USD).
The agency conducted searches at over 60 locations in India from February 25 to 26, 2025, targeting individuals and entities suspected of money laundering and fraud. The main cities involved in this operation include Delhi, Pune, Nanded, Kolhapur, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chandigarh, Mohali, Jhansi, and Hubli.
