Ethereum Foundation Researcher: It is estimated that within the next 10 years, Ethereum's TPS will reach 10 million

In the latest semi-annual AMA of the Ethereum Foundation, researchers responded to questions about Ethereum's scalability, Layer1 revenue and security. EF researcher Justin Drake revealed that the first phase of the Pectra upgrade is expected to be launched in the coming months, with a focus on improving data availability. It is anticipated that there will be a significant increase in Blob transactions from 3 per block to 6, which is expected to greatly impact the Blob fee market. Although some people in the Ethereum community have called for an increase in blob "basic fees", researchers at the Ethereum Foundation generally believe this is shortsighted thinking. Drake said: "I expect that within about 10 years, Ethereum's TPS will reach 10 million (about 100 transactions per person per day), even if each transaction costs $0.001, daily income will still reach $1 billion :)" One goal of Pectra upgrade is to enhance Ethereum's economic position by promoting adoption of “native Rollup”, thereby reducing L2 solutions' dependence on Layer1. Vitalik Buterin stated that Ethereum aims to maintain network neutrality. Researchers emphasized that as network expands in future, demand for data availability will exceed supply and future expansion plans like Danksharding would help balance this gap. In addition, EF has also opened up a $2 million Bug bounty encouraging community stress testing hard forks ensuring safety of Pectra upgrades.
