Ilya Khabarov, head of the Sinara Bank division for the development of digital financial assets (DFA), said that the bank plans to go through all the procedures in the near future in order to be included in the register of digital financial asset operators.
Currently, 14 platforms are included in the register of digital financial asset operators. In 2024, T-Bank (former Tinkoff), Tokenik, VTB Capital Trading and the Interregional Registration Center (IRC) were added to it.
According to Ilya Khabarov, the bank is considering the possibility of becoming a market maker in the digital financial assets market. Market makers are responsible for maintaining prices, supply and demand, and trading volume.
At the same time, he noted the structural problems that the domestic digital financial assets market still faces, one of which is fragmented infrastructure.
To invest in digital financial assets, market participants need to open wallets on different platforms and undergo authentication and authorization. All this significantly complicates the use of digital financial assets, noted the representative of Sinara.
In his opinion, the problems can be solved by creating a single exchange operator that will unite various electronic wallets and platforms.
