European leaders: Talks on Russia-Ukraine conflict without Europe 'unacceptable'
European leaders attending the Munich Security Conference recently expressed that negotiations on the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, promoted by the United States, without the participation of European countries and Ukraine, are "unacceptable." Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer, chair of the Christian Democratic Union in Germany, stated at the conference that Europe must be involved in negotiations to end the war in Ukraine, saying, "It is absolutely unacceptable for Russia and the United States to negotiate without the participation of Ukraine and European countries." Finnish President Sauli Niinistö told reporters during the conference, "Without Europeans, we cannot discuss or negotiate the future of Ukraine or European security structures. But Europe needs to come together, speak less and do more."
