Bitwise European Research Director: Bitcoin and gold are expected to benefit from the weakening of the US dollar and the reduction of US debt holding
Andre Dragosch, Bitwise's European research director, said that against the background of macroeconomic indicators suggesting a possible shift in the dominance of the US dollar, Bitcoin and gold are attracting market attention. As the largest overseas holders of US debt, China and Japan are reducing their holdings of US Treasuries, causing concerns about the long-term demand for US government bonds. Dragosch revealed that some foreign central banks have inquired with Bitwise in the US about the possibility of shifting some of their US Treasury investments to a physical Bitcoin ETF, and the Czech National Bank is also considering similar measures.
