Mexican tycoon Salinas: European citizens will be forced to accept CBDC, Bitcoin is the solution to avoid it
Mexican billionaire Ricardo Salinas recently criticized European cryptocurrency policy in an interview on the Lunaticoin podcast. He compared Europe to a "museum", saying that the region has "no investment vitality"; at the same time, he likened it to a "zoo", implying that Europe is placing its citizens under regulation in preparation for enforcing Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC). As one of Mexico's wealthiest entrepreneurs and a well-known Bitcoin supporter, Salinas emphasized that Bitcoin is an effective tool to evade government financial control. He stated: "The world of Bitcoin offers people a new choice, allowing you to enter another financial universe. By saving your savings in Bitcoin, you can transfer assets anytime and anywhere, achieving true freedom of asset flow, which is exactly the solution against CBDC centralized control."
