Polkadot Blockchain Academy has launched the JAM Course, aimed at educating talented developers about Polkadot ‘s new architecture. This course is a follow-up to the PBA Campus and JAM Tour, focusing specifically on the Join-Accumulate Machine (JAM) technology created by Dr. Gavin Wood.

The JAM Course is designed for experienced Web3 developers who want to learn about cutting-edge blockchain innovations. It includes detailed lessons, hands-on workshops, and opportunities for discussion and questions.

JAM is a new layer in Polkadot’s architecture that allows for the execution of Solidity smart contracts and off-chain computations. This flexibility means developers can create both smart contracts and appchains without having to choose one over the other.

Participants will learn about key functions of JAM, such as Refine, Accumulate, and OnTransfer. The course will start with an overview of JAM’s architecture and then explore real-world applications. Developers will also learn how to build applications using JAM alongside tools like the Polkadot Virtual Machine and Polkadot API.

The JAM Course reflects Polkadot Blockchain Academy’s commitment to fostering talent and innovation in the Web3 space. It offers developers a chance to gain insights directly from the creators of Polkadot’s technology. The aim is to equip them with practical skills to implement innovative solutions across various blockchain ecosystems.

Pauline Cohen Vorms, CEO of Polkadot Blockchain Academy, emphasized that JAM is a significant advancement for Polkadot. She believes this course will help developers understand how Polkadot is shaping the future of blockchain interoperability. The academy has been a leader in blockchain education, previously launching the successful PBA-X program.

The JAM Course will prepare participants to contribute to the next wave of Web3 development. They will finish the course with valuable skills and knowledge. Interested individuals can register for information about the application process for this in-person course, which starts in December 2025.
