There is information that the Chinese government may lift the ban on cryptocurrencies as early as 2025.

Breaking News: China Plans to Unban Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies by the end of 2025. It will be powerful!!! — wrote an experienced crypto trader under the pseudonym Ash Crypto.

The published report about a possible liberalization of policy towards digital assets in China was not supported by any data, but it inspired many members of the crypto community. According to one commentator, if the ban is indeed lifted, the Chinese will invest several billion dollars in cryptocurrencies and thus trigger the start of a bull rally.

At the same time, it is worth noting that rumors about a change in the course of cryptopolicy in China have been going on for a long time, but they have not yet materialized. Moreover, Forbes journalists analyzed the situation in July last year and came to the conclusion that lifting the ban on Bitcoin and other digital assets in China is extremely unlikely.

The fact is that the leadership of key agencies that are authorized to change the legal status of cryptocurrencies, such as the People's Bank of China, adheres to existing regulatory measures and does not want to soften them.

Overall, Forbes staff doubts that China will allow the use of digital assets before Xi Jinping leaves the post of the PRC President. He must remain in power until at least 2029, so the lifting of the ban on cryptocurrencies in China should not be expected within the next four years.
