Analyst predicts $350K Bitcoin amid policy shift
Abra Global CEO Bill Barhydt forecasts Bitcoin (CRYPTO:BTC) could surge to $350,000 this cycle, with Ethereum (CRYPTO:ETH) potentially reaching $8,000.
His analysis hinges on anticipated shifts in U.S. monetary policy, particularly lower interest rates, which he believes will inject more cash into the economy.
Barhydt suggests that the U.S. government's approach to managing its national debt, possibly through quantitative easing, will increase liquidity.
He believes lower interest rates will make borrowing more attractive, encouraging investments in assets like cryptocurrencies.
"This administration wants interest rates much lower and they’ll do whatever they have to to achieve that," Barhydt stated.
According to Barhydt's posts on X, this "cyclical Valhalla" is expected to start in the first quarter.
He suggests that the high end of the range for these crypto assets could be approximately double his base case estimates.
In addition to Bitcoin and Ethereum, Barhydt also projects Solana (CRYPTO:SOL) to reach $900 and SUI (CRYPTO:SUI) to hit $250.
Other analysts have also weighed in on Bitcoin's potential.
Tether (CRYPTO:USDT) CEO Paolo Ardoino has raised the possibility of quantum computing accessing inactive Bitcoin wallets, potentially reintroducing significant amounts of Bitcoin into circulation.
Empire analyst Jason Yanowitz contends that Bitcoin's current price is largely influenced by MicroStrategy's accumulation, rather than widespread institutional investment.
Marathon Digital CEO Fred Thiel is optimistic, suggesting Bitcoin's value could more than double by the end of 2025.
These projections come amid discussions about Bitcoin ETF products and increasing interest from corporate investors.
While these predictions generate excitement, some experts, like Arthur Hayes, former CEO of BitMEX, caution that the new administration is not a guaranteed catalyst for price growth and suggest a possible retest of lower Bitcoin price levels.
