Acting Chair of the U.S. CFTC criticizes predicted market resistance under former leadership
Acting Chair of the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), Caroline Pham, stated that the commission has gone too far in its struggle with prediction markets and overturning its rules, orders, and court arguments will require a lot of effort.
Pham was appointed by President Donald Trump to manage the CFTC and she has been acting swiftly to overturn policy positions of her Democratic predecessors at the derivatives regulatory agency. The CFTC will soon arrange an expert roundtable meeting to initiate rebooting the agency's stance on prediction markets.
