The Ministry of Commerce spokesperson made a statement on the US announcement of a 10% tariff increase on Chinese products exported to the US
On February 2nd, the White House released a fact sheet announcing a 10% tariff on Chinese products imported to the United States due to issues with fentanyl. China strongly opposes this and firmly objects to the unilateral imposition of tariffs, which seriously violates WTO rules and not only fails to solve its own problems, but also undermines normal economic and trade cooperation between China and the United States. China will file a lawsuit with the WTO against the US's wrong actions and take corresponding countermeasures to safeguard its own rights and interests. (Ministry of Commerce website)
