President Trump's inauguration breaks viewing record, Rumble draws 5.5 million views
On January 26th, according to information released by Trump on social media, his presidential inauguration ceremony set a historic record for viewership. According to data from Streams Charts, the YouTube news channel attracted 9.6 million views for its coverage of the ceremony, setting an "all-time viewing record". In addition, his X account live-streamed the ceremony and received an astonishing 36.7 million views.
Combining television audience data, it is estimated that 80.7 million people watched the inauguration ceremony, far exceeding the record of 42 million views for President Reagan's inauguration ceremony in 1981.
Rumble CEO Chris Pavlovski recently stated on the X platform that traditional media ratings for Trump's inauguration ceremony reportedly fell by over 20%. Meanwhile, the video platform Rumble had related live-stream views of 5.5 million.
