Data: Deribit's annual trading volume will exceed $1.1 trillion in 2024, a 95% increase from last year

According to a report from The Block, Deribit's trading volume surged from $608 billion in 2024 to over $1.1 trillion, a YoY increase of over 95%. Spot trading volume saw a significant increase, rising from $837 million to $7.6 billion, a growth of 810%. Deribit's total options trading volume reached $243 billion in Q4 of last year, a YoY increase of 99% in nominal trading volume. In addition, trading activity was active after the US presidential election on November 12, with a historical high of $14.8 billion in 24-hour trading volume, and the total open interest on November 28 also reached a new high of $48 billion.
