Structure of the U.S. Government Efficiency Department: The U.S. Digital Service Bureau is restructured, establishing a temporary organization with the DOGE team

Trump announces the signing of an executive order to establish the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) to implement the President's DOGE agenda, maximizing government efficiency and productivity through modernizing federal technology and software. The structure of DOGE includes:

- Restructuring and renaming of United States Digital Service: Now renamed as United States DOGE Service (USDS), which will be established in the Executive Office of the President.

- Establishment of a temporary organization: A USDS administrator should be appointed in the Executive Office of the President, reporting to Chief White House Officer. According to Title 5 Section 3161of U.S Code, a temporary organization called "United States DOGE Temporary Service" has been set up within USDS. Led by USDS Administrator, it is committed to advancing president’s 18-months-long DOGE agenda. The United States DOGE Temporary Service shall terminate on July 4th,2026.The termination should not be interpreted as implying any cessation or weakening or modification other powers or provisions under this order.

-DOGE Team: Agency heads should consult with USDS and establish a team consisting at least four employees known as “DOG Team” within their respective agencies; these may include special government employees hired or assigned within thirty days from issuance date for this order. Agency heads should select members for their respective agency’s DOG Teams in consultation with USDS Administrator. Each Doge team typically consists one Doge team leader, an engineer,a human resources expert,and a lawyer.Agency heads must ensure that each Doge team leader coordinates work with USDS,and provides advice on implementing president's doge agenda to their respective agency head.
