European Commission launches additional investigation into social media platform "X"
that on January 17th, the European Commission took three additional technical investigation measures against the recommendation system of platform "X". On December 18th, 2023, the EU announced the launch of a "formal lawsuit" against social media platform "X" to evaluate whether it violated the EU's Digital Services Act (DSA) in terms of risk management, content review, and other aspects. The current additional investigation is a supplement to the previous lawsuit. The European Commission has requested that "X" provide internal documents and other materials related to its recommendation system.
