BlackRock's head of digital assets: Bitcoin adoption is still in its early stages
On January 15th, Robbie Mitchnick, the head of digital assets at BlackRock, which manages $11.5 trillion in assets, said in an interview with Bloomberg that "the adoption of Bitcoin is still in its early stages." Previously, Robbie had said, "Some things that happen in the crypto industry are a bit like a fluke. Some publications and daily comments on cryptocurrency research believe that Bitcoin is obviously a risky asset and infer that it is a risky asset and should be traded like stocks." When we think of Bitcoin, we mainly see it as an emerging global currency substitute. It is a scarce, global, decentralized non-sovereign asset that is not subject to specific country risks or traditional counterparty risks.
