LayerZero launches high-performance verifiable database QMDB
LayerZero announced on the X platform the launch of Quick Merkle Database (QMDB), a high-performance verifiable database optimized for blockchain.
QMDB is developed by LayerZero Labs, licensed under MIT and Apache-2, and is completely open source.
· It processes 2.28 million state updates per second, with 1 million TPS (Transactions Per Second).
· After benchmark testing, the workload can reach 150 billion (10 times that of Ethereum's status in 2024) and has been proven to be able to scale up to 280 billion records on a single server.
· Each state access reads once, updates when I/O is O(1), and performs in-memory Merkelization at a storage occupancy of 2.3 bytes per record.
· It can efficiently scale on both consumer-grade and enterprise-grade hardware.
