Tether announces it has obtained a license in El Salvador and will move its headquarters to El Salvador
Tether announced it is about to complete its application for a digital asset service provider (DASP) and stablecoin issuance license in El Salvador, and will relocate its headquarters there. Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino stated that this move will strengthen the company's presence in emerging markets and leverage El Salvador's supportive regulatory environment for innovation to promote the global adoption of Bitcoin.
