FTX announces initial repayment schedule, with first repayment expected to start on February 25
FTX creditor Sunil disclosed the "FTX Repayment Plan Preliminary Distribution Schedule" on X: Creditors with claims less than $50,000 are expected to receive a total compensation of approximately $1.2 billion; FTX requires creditors to complete pre-distribution requirements (claims registration) before January 20 to ensure participation in the initial distribution, and repayment is not expected to begin before this date; the first repayment is expected to begin on February 25 and may continue until March 4. This schedule provides creditors with clear guidance so that they can timely meet FTX's requirements and smoothly obtain compensation.
FTX reminds customers to always be vigilant against phishing emails that may appear to be from FTX debtors and fraudulent websites from channels that may appear to be from FTX debtor customer portals.
