Bitcoin mined a "half-empty" block at height 878889 85 minutes ago
On January 12th, according to mempool data, a miner mined a half-empty block at Bitcoin height 878889, with only an 87-second time interval from the previous block height. Mempool founder @mononautical tweeted that all transactions in this unfilled f2pool block were broadcasted in the previous minute, indicating that the block maker node restarted (without) the mempool.dat file or had not yet started loading it when requesting the template. The last similar event occurred about five months ago at block height 855363.
