The results of a social survey conducted by employees of the Bitwise company indicate that financial specialists do not plan to sell cryptocurrency in 2025.
From November 14 to December 20, 2024, Bitwise employees surveyed more than 400 investment advisers, broker representatives, financial planners, and specialists from large brokerage organizations working in the United States. After analyzing the data received, the authors of the study Found out That:
- The number of respondents who invested money in digital assets has doubled compared to 2023 and reached 22%;
- 99% of respondents who bought cryptocurrency plan to store coins or increase their reserves in 2025;
- 19% of financial advisors' clients are likely to start investing in virtual currencies this year;
- 71% of advisors' clients invest money in digital assets on their own.
Advisors are recognizing the potential of cryptocurrencies and are allocating money to buy them like never before.
Perhaps most striking is the huge room for improvement, because two-thirds of financial advisers who serve millions of Americans and manage trillions of dollars in assets still cannot invest client funds in digital assets.
In 2025, this will change as cryptocurrency adoption rapidly increases, said Bitwise CIO Matt Hogan.

Throughout the survey, the digital asset market was in a bullish trend following Donald Trump's election victory on November 5. However, since December 17, there has been a slow downward trend, which has resulted in the bitcoin price got down by 13%. It is likely that the mood among financial experts has changed, and already more than 1% of respondents are going to get rid of digital assets this year, expecting the bearish trend to continue.
