Two positive news have emerged from the cryptocurrency market, related to a newly established committee in the United States and CFTC
According to Cointelegraph, less than two weeks before Trump officially takes office as President of the United States, there are two positive news in the cryptocurrency market. According to a report by Fox Business News, the U.S. Senate Banking Committee is preparing to announce the establishment of its first subcommittee focused on digital assets - the Cryptocurrency Subcommittee. The new chairman of the Senate Banking Committee, Tim Scott, has preliminarily selected pro-cryptocurrency Senator Lummis as chairwoman of the new committee; she had echoed Trump's initiative to establish strategic Bitcoin reserves. In addition, according to sources quoted by cryptocurrency media Unchainedcrypto, due to current CFTC Chairman Rostin Behnam's resignation, pro-cryptocurrency CFTC Commissioner Summer Mersinger has become a leading candidate for this position. She once expressed discomfort with CFTC’s practice of "establishing certain policies through enforcement cases".
