With the recent explosion of AI Agents on Crypto Twitter and the seemingly never-ending ‘tokenized agents’ we see climbing up the ranks on dextools and Coingecko , one thing seems clear; there is a new meta in crypto: Tokenized Autonomous Agents.

An AI agent is an autonomous bot that can plan and execute tasks, and work towards some defined goal without human intervention. AI agents differ from the bots we are used to seeing across the Internet.

Bots are typically pre-programmed, require human intervention, and operate under a fixed set of rules. AI agents can engage in dynamic, multi-step decision-making and adapt based on interaction. They can also interact with other agents, protocols, and external apps using plugins. This is fundamentally different from what we have seen before in crypto.

As Agents continue to evolve, owning and governing intelligent agents is becoming increasingly relevant. Co-ownership of AI agents offers a revolutionary approach to distributing the benefits and risks associated with AI capabilities. Quarterly Dev Updates

Ethlance 🛠

In Q4, the focus for Ethlance was primarily on rigorous testing and refinement. The majority of the enhancements addressed visual improvements and were dependent on specific environmental conditions. A significant update included the implementation of a new component for synchronizing smart contract events, necessitated by the inadequate processing of events by the existing system.

Here’s a comprehensive rundown of our completed updates, ongoing tasks, and future plans:

✅ Completed Updates:

Released and tested updated server-web3-events in QA environment.
Implemented synchronization of smart contract events in a new component.
Improved smart-contract event syncing.
Updated technical dependencies versions (Node.js, libraries, shadow-cljs).
Transactions-receipts & JobCreated explicitly on new ERC721/1155 jobs.
Fixed some visual and workflow bugs; all reported visual issues have been resolved.
All main flows tested and working.
Fixed mobile UI issues.

⚙️ In Progress:

Refactoring the code to make it more resilient, including simplifying loading configuration, more reliable waiting for GraphQL data, and fixing employer not seeing job invitation & acceptance messages.

👀 Looking Ahead:

Deploying Ethlance to its official QA environment: official launch preparations, including continued testing on mobile devices.
Conducting further testing in the QA environment to ensure the platform’s readiness for production.

Our team remains committed to resolving the complex technical challenges as we approach the launch of the new Ethlance version. We appreciate the community’s continued support and patience as we refine and enhance the system to meet our high performance and reliability standards.

StreamTide 🛠

In the fourth quarter, significant progress was made in enhancing StreamTide’s functionality, performance, and user experience. This period saw crucial developments in system integrations and user interface improvements aimed at providing a more robust and scalable platform.

✅ Completed Updates:

Successfully integrated and deployed PostgreSQL in the production environment.
Improved the “Connect Wallet” button experience, especially for supporting Coinbase Smart Wallet.
Resolved issues with wallet reconnection and enhanced error handling.
Ensured accurate transaction receipt lookups after transactions.
UI Improvements: Removed checks for embedded image extensions to support a wider range of image sources, including IPFS.
Introduced a fallback mechanism for failed media loads to enhance usability and transparency.

⚙️ In Progress:

Actively working on supporting multi-chain matching pools to attract more funders and empower creators with expanded funding options.
UI Refinements: Enhancing Farcaster Frame to support various decimal separators in tips.
Addressing display issues with past donations and updating branding elements.

👀 Looking Ahead:

Plans are in place to broaden platform functionality to support a global audience.

Significant enhancements and new features have been added to Insert Coin, focusing on expanding match capabilities and integrating user feedback into our service offerings.

✅ Completed Updates:

Expanded smart contract capabilities to include 2v2 and 5v5 match options.
Integrated handling for all match types, prize allocation, and ERC20 tokens.
Set a match stake limit of $200 to ensure fair play and user safety.
Achieved 90% completion for the frontend, with full functionality for 1v1 and tournaments.
Fully operational and integrated with Discord bots to manage matches and tournaments effortlessly.

⚙️ In Progress:

Implementing dropdown options for creating 2v2 / 5v5 team matches.
Updating the use of ERC20 tokens for setting up matches.

👀 Looking Ahead:

New features for storing player data and tracking statistics via a Supabase database.
Added commands for detailed user statistics and match histories.
Implemented community notifications and onboarding tutorials.
Real-time updates on matches and daily posts about the Matching Pool.
Plans for expanding tournament features and player engagement with new match types (2v2 and 5v5).
Frontend updates as mentioned, collaboration with web3 game developers, and a marketing strategy pending the shift to Base network.
