OpenAI CEO Sam Altman has been accused of sexual harassment by his younger sister, Annie Altman. In the lawsuit, the woman claims that the businessman abused her over a nine-year period.
Sam Altman and his family issued a statement calling the lawsuit absurd and without merit. They said Annie had been struggling with serious mental health issues for years.
It should be noted that the sister's lawsuit includes demands to disclose all information about the financial status of the company's CEO for the possible imposition of multi-million dollar fines on him as compensation for moral damages.
Sam Altman said he offered his younger sister financial help on many occasions, including buying a house, but their relationship remained contentious.
Let us recall that several years ago, Annie Altman already accused the businessman of inappropriate behavior towards her. The 2023 edition of New York Magazine published an article describing the instability of Annie Altman's personal life, including frequent moves and psychological difficulties after the death of their father in 2018.
Lawyers for the head of OpenAI claim that their client has long distanced himself from his sister, but is forced to take up the case because of the lawsuit.
