On January 6th, Ethereum founder Vitalik Buterin replied on X platform to Ethereum Foundation researcher Devansh Mehta's suggestion that "the Ethereum Foundation should start supporting non-cryptocurrency activities, not just activities where people in the circle praise each other." Buterin stated, "In my opinion, mainstream cryptography, network security, and non-blockchain decentralization being seen as 'non-cryptocurrency related' is already a failure in itself (I believe this idea mainly comes from the cryptocurrency side), and measures should be taken to address this issue."
