Opinion: If Musk doesn't help the US government, it may shut down
The Chief Economist of ANZ Bank Greater China, Yang Yuting, mentioned at the 2025 China Chief Economist Forum Annual Meeting that the US public debt has now reached 36 trillion, exceeding the limit of 31.4 trillion. "In the past two years, an additional $2 trillion in debt was added each year. Unless Musk can really help by reducing America's deficit and its debts, I think there is a high possibility that a shutdown will occur in the U.S federal government which would also impact the American economy to some extent."
