VC Funding for Crypto to go above $18 Billion in 2025: Pitchbook
Crypto Venture Capital (VC) funding may go above $18 Billion in 2025, owing to return of “generalist investors” in crypto sector, post- Trump win and Bitcoin reaching all time high in Q4 of 2024, as per analysis shared by Robert Le of Pitchbook.
While speaking to CNBC in an interview on Saturday night, Le of Pitchbook, observed that multiple favourable conditions have been set for the return of investors in crypto in 2025 that will ultimately result in a hike of over 50% in VC funding compared to 2024 that saw $11-12 billion in funding. Pitchbook is a leading database organization of VC and private equity fundings.
Le also observed that 2025 may see entry of traditional finance institutions into crypto VC funding that will further enhance the credibility and legitimacy of the sector.
During the eight minutes long interview with CNBC TV, Le also analyzed that while crypto VC funding in last two years was majorly focused on building infrastructure, the year 2025 is gonna be about strengthening application layer and how even non-crypto customers could be offered use cases within the crypto-sphere.
