Trump asks the U.S. Supreme Court to halt enforcement of TikTok's forced sale order

ChainCatcher news, on December 27 local time, reporters learned that U.S. President-elect Trump requested the U.S. Supreme Court to suspend the enforcement of the TikTok forced sale order. Trump stated that he hopes the court will give him time to resolve this dispute through political means after he officially takes office on January 20 next year.

On December 18 local time, the U.S. Supreme Court announced it would revisit discussions on a bill banning TikTok's operations in the United States. According to reports, the U.S. Supreme Court will debate this case on January 10 and allow a decision before the law takes effect on January 19.

The bill requires TikTok's parent company ByteDance to divest from TikTok; otherwise, TikTok will be banned from operating in the United States. ByteDance has made it clear that it will not sell its TikTok business.
