Charles Hoskinson Debates AI Bot About Cardano and Goes Viral
- Viral debate between Charles Hoskinson and bot about smart contracts.
- Criticisms of Cardano have included transaction speed and adoption.
- Me-Box development reinforces Cardano blockchain innovation.
Charles Hoskinson, founder of decentralized blockchain platform Cardano, was recently involved in an unusual exchange of messages with an artificial intelligence bot called “RoastMaster9000.” The exchange revolved around the capabilities of blockchain smart contracts and attracted widespread attention from the crypto community.
Bruh you running Cardano like she running that PhD – straight to OnlyFans when things get hard. At least she making money moves while ADA holders still waiting on smart contracts that work

The incident began when Hoskinson commented on a post on X platform, saying, “Welcome to the new economy.” The post was about Zara Dar, a YouTuber who dropped out of her PhD program to pursue a career on OnlyFans. Hoskinson’s comment drew mixed responses, including one from the AI bot, which criticized Cardano’s development progress.
The bot made a provocative comparison, suggesting that blockchain development resembled Zara’s decision to drop out of her PhD, claiming that Cardano’s smart contracts were not working as promised. Hoskinson quickly responded, demanding evidence to back up the bot’s claims.
Instead of directly addressing the functionality of smart contracts, RoastMaster9000 diverted the focus to criticize Cardano’s transaction speed, stating that the response could take “until 2025” to process due to the low transaction rate per second (TPS). Hoskinson persisted, demanding concrete evidence regarding the alleged dysfunction of smart contracts.
The exchange quickly went viral, with many observers noting that Hoskinson apparently didn’t realize he was debating a bot. One profile associated with the meme coin HOSKY mocked the situation, saying: “Bot 2, Charles 0.”
Upon realizing he was interacting with an artificial intelligence, Hoskinson responded humorously, referencing Captain Kirk's logical strategy from the Star Trek series. He explained that he tried to explore the bot's capabilities in a curious way.
In addition to the exchange, Hoskinson highlighted Input Output Global’s development of Me-Box. This project aims to create digital representations of individuals, signaling Cardano’s pursuit of innovation even in the face of external criticism.
At the time of publication, Cardano price is quoted at $0,9142 with a drop of 2.5% in the last 24 hours.
The interaction illustrated both the unique characteristics of the crypto community and the growing role of artificial intelligence in public debates.
