U.S. cryptocurrency stocks rose before the market opened
US cryptocurrency concept stocks rose in pre-market trading, with MicroStrategy and Hut 8 up more than 3%, and Coinbase, MARA Holdings, and Riot Platforms up more than 2%. On the news front, Bitcoin has returned to above $96,000.

Citizens will now be able to pay taxes, fees, tickets and permits entirely in crypto starting with BTC, ETH, USDC, and USDT. The city partnered with a bank that will receive crypto payments and convert them on the spot to U.S. dollars, allowing for the free flow of crypto in the entire economy.
