Sonic Labs: The governance proposal based on Fantom promotes a new token economy, with an airdrop of approximately 200 million S tokens
Sonic Labs announced in X that it is making decisions on four successful governance proposals for Fantom to upgrade tokenomics, which includes approximately 200 million S airdrops. At launch, the circulating supply of S was about 2.88 billion, with an initial total supply of 3.175 billion, allowing for a 1:1 migration ratio; six months after launch, the network will use a unique nine-month linear destruction mechanism to mint 6% of the initial total supply to extend the airdrop event as rewards for users/developers.
In addition, six months after launch, the network will begin minting 1.5% of the initial total supply each year over six years to fund growth and destroy unused S annually to ensure effective usage; starting four years after launch, the network will mint 1.75% annually as permanent rewards for validators. All unused tokens from ecosystem growth will be accounted for and destroyed annually. By 2031, S's maximum expansion cap is set at 15% (excluding block rate rewards), during which various destruction mechanisms are expected to significantly reduce expansion speed.
