NCPPR is considering a new Bitcoin financial reserve proposal
since October, the US think tank "National Center for Public Policy Research" (NCPPR) has submitted shareholder proposals to Microsoft and Amazon, requesting that they consider investing in Bitcoin, believing that this will protect these companies and their investors from the impact of inflation. The organization stated that more Bitcoin proposals are brewing and also believes that promoting the adoption of Bitcoin is in line with its "support for freedom" agenda, as cryptocurrencies are essentially not controlled by governments. Microsoft shareholders have already voted against the Bitcoin investment proposal, while it is still unknown whether Amazon will adopt this strategy. (Washington Post) Earlier on December 13, NCPPR proposed that Amazon include Bitcoin in its financial reserves. NCPPR believes that Bitcoin can serve as a hedge against currency depreciation, but whether Amazon will adopt a more innovative strategy is still uncertain.
