The Block's Mike Dudas announces resignation from Aptos advisory role
Mike Dudas from The Block announced on social media platform X that he is resigning from his advisory role at Aptos, "Since my good friend Mo Shaikh co-founded this project, I have been an advisor to Aptos since 2022. This is the only crypto project where I serve as an advisor. From today onwards, I will resign from the advisory position and request Aptos to transfer my advisory tokens to Coin Center."
"My commitment as an advisor for Aptos predates when I became a full-time venture capitalist but postdates when I was the founder of The Block. This position was something I accepted in order to support a person and mission that I deeply believe in. I have always valued and supported substance over appearance. And this is something that will continue."
Previously reported by CoinDesk, Mo Shaikh, co-founder of Aptos Labs announced his resignation as CEO with fellow co-founder Avery Ching taking over. Aptos is a Layer-1 blockchain known for its high scalability, security and transaction speed built on Move programming language developed for Facebook's "Diem" project.
In a lengthy post published on social media platform X, Shaikh reviewed the achievements of Aptos over three years including successfully raising $400 million in venture capital and building an ecosystem supported by thousands of developers. He thanked investors such as BlackRock, Google, Mastercard and PayPal for their support while stating he would continue supporting company development in strategic advisory capacity while reflecting upon future of blockchain technology and financial systems.
