Survey: Brazilians invest 7% to 35% of their assets in cryptocurrency
On December 20, Brazil's top regulatory body - the Securities and Futures Exchange (CVM) recently announced a survey result showing that more Brazilians are now investing, trading or holding Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. Investors allocate between 7% to 35% of their funds for purchasing these tokens. This study was conducted by CVM in 2023, investigating the investment behavior of over 700 people. Respondents were divided into "conservative", "steady" and "aggressive" investors. Conservative investors on average used 7.25% of their savings for cryptocurrencies, while steady investors put 21% of their financial product portfolio into crypto assets. Aggressive investors were most optimistic with up to 35% of their investment portfolios in crypto assets.
Notably, about 50% of respondents considered themselves aggressive investors, indicating Brazilian investor enthusiasm for cryptocurrencies. In contrast, conservative investor portfolios are more traditional with over 50% being CDBs and RDBs fixed income securities; they also prefer government bonds while foreign currency choices are relatively fewer.(Cryptonews)
