Meta demands that OpenAI be prevented from becoming a for-profit company
following Musk's lead, Meta has also complained to the Department of Justice to block OpenAI from becoming a for-profit company. Meta wrote to California Attorney General Bonta, stating that allowing such a transition would "have a significant impact on Silicon Valley." Meta requested that Bonta take "direct action," while also stating that Musk and former OpenAI board member Greg Brockman "are qualified and capable of representing the interests of Californians in this matter."
